Sleepy Hollow Halloween
When I saw the Cinema Saturday challenge was Sleepy Hollow, I was stumped. I had no idea what to do, especially since I had to include a tree in my creation. Then I took a stroll through my digital archives and found this cute tree. I am sorry but I don’t know where it came from, but it is perfect for this card. Here is the final product.
I colored it in with colored pencils and then blended with Gamsol. All the papers is from the Fall Stack by DCWV from at least 3 years ago. The shiny strips that criss cross in the middle of the card is actually skateboarding grip tape. It is adhesive, so it is great to use, plus I love the bit of sparkle it adds. Finally I used another one of those fabric flowers by Making Memories.

Lounging Santa
I am trying to get a jump start on Christmas cards. I know it is 3 and a half month away, but then again, it is only 3 and a half months away!
I got this cute Santa image from Doodle Dragon Studios. I just couldn’t resist coloring it up! I do want to point out the his inner tube is green even though it looks a bit gray here.
I made this for a few challenges:
- Cards & Things: color challenge
- Sweet Sketch Wednesday: Sketch
- Stamp Something: Something Cute
- Drunken Stampers: Serenity Now
- Corrosive Challenge: colors
Enjoy! Erica
Cheers!
Today I made an early “Christmas” card, but it could really be used at anytime for drinks. I used the OWH sketch for this week and an old set I had from The Angel Company. All of the patterned paper is from DCWV. I did add a few Dew Drops for texture and I used the Deckled Rectangle Spellbinder instead of use a normal rectangle to add a little pop!
Here are the challenges this is made for…
- OWH Sketch: Sketch
- The Pink Elephant: Something Yummy
- My Time to Craft Challenge: Let’s Eat Cake OR Drink Up

Christmas Joy!
The other day I was sitting in Wade’s work chair and I had an inspiration. I tend to get good ideas when sitting in there. I wonder if I steal his chair, he would notice? Anyways, I came up with this Christmas card idea and decided to try it out today. If you haven’t noticed, I am trying to do large amounts of Christmas cards, so even if I am not sure how it is going to turn out, I planned on making several of them. I got all my supplies together, cut everything and then just hoped that it would be pretty and I didn’t just cut up paper for nothing.
They are all the same design, but several different papers and two different colors of embossing powder, so I am sharing all of the different ones.
I have an idea for this stamp in a completely different way…but that will have to wait until later!

Christmas wreath
A couple of years ago, I was in Michael’s (shocked face goes here) and I was looking at the card magazines. I saw the cutest card where the artist used punched circles to create a wreath. It must have stuck because I finally broke down and tried it myself.
on white…
on kraft…
I used a 5/8″ punch for my circles. I used 4 different papers from DCWV Holiday stack. I made 11 of these cards total and still have a ton of circles left to make more. These are pretty simple cards. It is the prep that takes the most time. You can’t see it very well from the picture, but I scored lines above and below the Merry Christmas sentiment.

Warm Winter Wishes!
When I saw that Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge was “The Holiday,” I knew I had to play. That is one of my dad’s favorite movies. Yes, my dad’s. Needless to say, I have seen the movie a ton of times and it is one of my faves too. One of the cutest parts in my opinion is Mr. Napkinhead when they are all drinking hot chocolate. I wanted my card to be inspired by that scene.
The cups come from my favorite Fiskar set. The sentiment is from a $1 Studio G set. The paper is from my DCWV Christmas stack from last year. I love this paper. It has a bit of a Christmasy feel, but I think I could use it anytime. I finished off the card with eyelets which is the twist to the Cinema Saturday challenge.
These are the challenges this is made for:
- Diva Coffee Break Designs: Color challenge
- Clean & simple: Sketch
- Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge: The Holiday
Enjoy! Erica
Card Supplies:
- Stamps: Fiskar
- Ink: Prisma, Memento, Memories
- Paper: DCWV
- Accessories: Making Memories eyelets
Riley relaxes
Father’s Day is here! I needed to make something special for my dad and thought I would complete a couple challenges at the same time. I also wanted to play with a couple new techniques.
My dad loves moose and my LSS owns Riley & Company, so I headed there for the perfect image. Then I wanted to play around with my new to me set of Prisma color pencils. While I was at my LSS I also got some gamsol and used that with my colored pencils. For a first time, I think it went really well. I also used some yellowish ink to sponge the edges of my embossed Deckled Rectangle by Spellbinder. The paper is Cosmo Cricket’s Joy Ride.
I also used my brand new border punch. I was at Wal-mart today looking at storage solutions and saw that it was on clearance for half off. I couldn’t resist.
Here are the challenges this works for:
- The Sweet Stop: Sketch and decorate inside
- Cards & Things: Sketch (yes I know it is weird that I used two sketches, but with interpretation, they both work)
- A Crafty Little Place: One for the Boys
- Papertake Weekly Challenge: Ice Cream flavor inspiration (Chocolate & Orange Sherbet)
- Raise the Bar: What a Special Guy
- One Stop Craft: One for the Boys

For Somebunny Special!
This is second post for the day…yep, I’m shocked to. You can find the first HERE!
I need to use more stamps! I have had this cute set for over a year and only used it once. I should make a lot more Easter cards when I have this The Angel Company set lying around. Well, at least I made one now! I know it isn’t really Eastery by the color scheme, but I think that is what I like about it. I wasn’t in a purple and pink mode today. I was in a crazy, bright color mode with a cute bunny mode. Does anyone else have those days? Anywho…this is for a lot of different challenges, so here is the list!
- One Stop Craft Challenge: Feeling Fruity (lime green, cherry red, orange (well that is self explanatory!))
- Fussy and Fancy: Easter
- Charisma Cardz Challenge: Spring has Sprung
- OWH Theme challenge: Four Legged Friends
- Jacksonbelle Embellishments: Easter/Spring
- The Crazy Challenge: Easter
- Papertake Weekly Challenge: Sketch

Sparkly shamrock
At school I am known for my cards. I try to make cards for my classmates’ birthdays. I now have a lot of girls who ask me to make cards for them. This was a request from a classmate for a St. Patrick’s day for her grandmother. She also bought a lovey-dovey card that had been previously made. She told me that she wanted me to use sparkles, so I tried to achieve that with Stickles over my stamped shamrock. I also used gold embossing powder with the sentiment. Here is a close up of the sentiment.
I really love how this card turned out. I have had the shamrock paper for a couple years, so it was nice to be able to use a little more of it!
Hope you enjoy! Erica
Happy New Year!
Crazy 4 Challenges has an awesome sketch this week and I decided to play along during my card making marathon today! This darling image is FREE at The Greeting Farms blog! I had been looking for the vellum paper and finally found it in my stack. I have honestly had that paper for over 5 years and am so happy to finally use it! The sentiment is new from Inkadinkado! Enjoy!
