Sleepy Hollow Halloween
When I saw the Cinema Saturday challenge was Sleepy Hollow, I was stumped. I had no idea what to do, especially since I had to include a tree in my creation. Then I took a stroll through my digital archives and found this cute tree. I am sorry but I don’t know where it came from, but it is perfect for this card. Here is the final product.
I colored it in with colored pencils and then blended with Gamsol. All the papers is from the Fall Stack by DCWV from at least 3 years ago. The shiny strips that criss cross in the middle of the card is actually skateboarding grip tape. It is adhesive, so it is great to use, plus I love the bit of sparkle it adds. Finally I used another one of those fabric flowers by Making Memories.

FHF Pop Culture Challenge- Glee
The Pop Culture Princesses at Friends Having Fun have another challenge for you. This week we are focusing on GLEE! Have you seen the show? Heard the music? I love the music. I have 3 of the 5 cds and rock out often to it. Your challenge is to choose a song Glee has covered and make a card based on it. You can also use the show in general as your inspiration.
I have a guilty pleasure song on the first cd. It is #3 and plays often. I love the song “Gold Digger.” I decided to use that as my inspiration.
I liked the shad of gold in the Sugared set from Basic Grey. I also wanted to show a shopper. She loves spending money, and who knows who’s money it is.
It could also be used for the song “I Dreamed a Dream” because I always dream of shopping and being able to not worry about the money I spend!
Go check out the rest of the princesses:

Bunnies like cake too!
When I saw the new The Cat’s Pajamas release, I knew I had to have at least one of the sets. And then when Alma offered free shipping the night of the release, well, I was sold. I decided to be good and only bought one set and it had to be THIS ONE!
I even decorated the inside too…
Isn’t that bunny cute!? He is so fun to color too! I have colored several and plan on getting them onto cards soon. Hope you don’t get too sick of him/her. I used some Basic Grey paper and I like the colors because it can be used for either a guy or a girl. Yes, I know there are flowers on there, but it just goes and it isn’t overly girly.
Here are the challenges this was made for:
- Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge: Sketch
- Stamptacular Sunday challenge: Ice Cream inspiration (mine is bubble gum)
- The Pink Elephant: Brown
- Cards for Men: recipe (1 image, 2 papers, 3 embellishments)
- The Crazy Challenge: Boys will be Boys
- Papertake Weekly Challenge: Cutie Patootie
- Stamp Something: Something Flowery
Enjoy! Erica

Hello Sweet Baby
I used baby Toby from The Greeting Farm to make a cute baby card. The paper is Green at Heart by Basic Grey. To color in Toby I used Prisma colored pencils and Gamsol. I finished the card off with a button from Making Memories and some babbles from Stamping Bella.
Sorry for the quick post, but I made this card a week ago, so my memory is a little short.
I do have a quick story for you. I always wake up earlier than Wade, partially because I go to bed hours earlier. Today as he was waking up he asked if I would be nice enough to put the coffee on. I don’t drink coffee, but I did ask him to teach me how to use the coffee maker a couple of weeks ago. I decided to be nice and make the coffee. I have a tip for you. When making coffee, take the lid off the pot before putting it in for new coffee. Needless to say, I have been shunned from the kitchen. I can’t decide if that is a good thing or a bad thing yet

Clean & Simple Thank you
I wanted to make a card for this week’s Clean & Simple challenge. I decided to use some paper from Basic Grey’s Offbeat pack. I love this paper, but I didn’t want to cover it up with anything. This was the perfect way to showcase the beauty of the paper. I did add the ribbon and button that weren’t in the sketch, but I felt it added the perfect touch to it.
I thought about putting a small plaque with the sentiment on it since the paper was so dark, but I felt that it was more powerful if I embossed the sentiment in white. I love embossing in white…heck I love just embossing. I still love watching the powder turn into one solid line. I guess it is the small things in life!

Immature for a lifetime
Michelle’s birthday was last Sunday, but I haven’t been able to see her yet, so I figured since we would be hanging tonight I would give her her birthday card. I used my new Inkadinkado set. It really fits her perfectly.
I used some Basic Grey paper and some of those left over scraps from Stampin’ Up.
Off to the store to get treats for tonight and then off to the movie!

Ebony sparkles and blings
I love my The Greeting Farm stamps. They are just too cute and I love coloring them in. I was working on a project last night and it just didn’t happen, so I decided to start over this morning and here is the first of the notecards I wanted to make. I decided not to go with the Twilight theme, but I am sticking with those images!
This notecard is 4.25 inch square. I plan on making several more of them…but who knows when that will happen. I got the idea for the notecards from something Jen did a long time ago.
The pattern papers are Basic Grey Offbeat collection. The green and red papers are Stampin Up. They were in colors a couple years ago. My consultant gave all of us a card front size of each of the papers and I haven’t used them yet. Now that I have, I really love the thickness of the paper and may have to invest in some myself. I finished off the card with Bo Bunny buttons.
I added a little bling to Ebony/Alice with my Sakura gel pen and some Studio 18 rhinestones.
This card is for several challenges…
- Club Anya: Wild Card Wednesday-sketch
- Anya Ink: Add some bling
- ABC Challenge: X is for Xtra dimension
- Basic Grey: Photo Inspiration
- Oh Alice!: Twinkle, Twinkle (Well it is one Alice, maybe not THE Alice)
- Allsorts Challenge Blog: Embossing (the diecut “frame”)
- The Crazy Challenge: Make it in an hour

Artful Inkables: Challenge #4- ABC gift set
Today is the fourth and final Twilight challenge for Artful Inkables. We were supposed to create anything but a card gift set with a Twilight theme. I love using coasters, so I decided to make a Twilight magnet set out of coasters for those who might be on the fence about what team they are on.
I made them different shapes because I thought it was important to show how different the two are.
Just Team Edward
I started by coloring the heart image from the Into the Moonlight set. I even popped up the banner part up.
Just Team Jacob
I colored in the wolf image with Prisma colored pencils and used gamsol. I added a little Basic Grey pattern paper that reminded me of the woods.
So I know this is a gift set and I should probably give it away, but I really like how it turned out. I some how don’t see Wade enjoying these on the fridge. Maybe I should put them up and see how long it takes for him to notice.
Enjoy! Erica
Hula Hampster happiness
It took me a while, but I finally put a card together for Mojo Monday! I used this adorable Hulaing Hamster for 2 Cute Rubber Stamps that can be yours free! Just download the image and play along with the challenge!
(I need to warn you that if this post doesn’t make any sense (more than usual) I am watching Goodbye Girl for the first time and it is getting really good!)
I dusted off some of my Basic Grey paper that happened to go perfectly with my colored pencils coloring job.

Happily Ever After flower
I have a wedding coming up, and I thought I would make the card early. It is a miracle…I already have the gift too, a month early! I wanted to make this card after seeing one of Amy’s Mother’s Day cards. It was just so simple and beautiful! I had this Dahlia Spellbinders Nestabilities that I had never used and figured this would be the perfect project to try it out on!
I made this using Green at Heart paper by Basic Grey. It is quickly becoming one of my favorites from them!
This is for a couple of challenges…
- OCC Sketch Challenge: sketch
- Charisma Cardz Challenge: All about Weddings
- One Stop Craft Challenge: Weddings
Hope you enjoy! Erica
