Amy’s Friday sketch #44

Here is my card for Amy’s Friday Sketch this week. I also used the technique from TLC202. I just got the entire set of Martha Stewart glitter for Christmas, and until this new technique, I didn’t know how I was going to use it. I had also just bought Tacky Tape with a gift card my bf gave me, so it was perfect. The bunny stamp is Hampton Arts and the Hoppy Easter is from Studio G. The paper is DCWV. I really like how the card came out. I never cut off parts of stamps, but I thought it turned out well when I did it for this.
I made this card 2 days ago. The second card I made in a while for two reasons. I was recovering from surgery. I am fine, nothing bad. Since I have been recovering, sitting up has not been the best thing for me to do. So I have spent my last couple of days in the recliner watching tv and reading. I got Twilight for Christmas. It took a couple of days to read the first couple of chapters but once I got to the Chapter about Port Charles, I was hooked. I finished the book then had to get the second one. I bought New Moon at noon yesterday and finished it at noon today. Warning: Get a punch of tissues, I cried like a baby. I am trying to keep myself from reading Eclipse until tomorrow morning. The book will be finished by the end of the day. If you haven’t read them, you should. It isn’t a vampire book. It is the most amazing love story around. Well, I am going to go now. Hope you enjoy!

Taylor’s sketch TECC50

I finally got to sit down for the first time in several days and make cards. I know, new posts have been appearing, but I did those on Monday. I had a lot going on this week. I decided my first card back would be for Taylor’s challenge.

The stamps are from Studio G Series 16. I used Whisper ink. I cut the circles out with my new Martha Stewart circle cutter. The ribbon is Simply Grosgrain from JoAnns. The paper is DCWV. Hope you like it.

I got organized!

One of my New Year’s missions was to get organized. I started with my scrap area. Here are a couple of pictures of what it looks like.

Here is my desk with my new cutter I got for Christmas. While you may not be able to see, but on the left top shelf I bought these metal pots for cheap and I keep scissors and markers in them.

Here is my paper area and the pink cube holds my scraps by color.

Here is my bookshelf that holds all the things that won’t fit on my desk. I have my Cricut, my stamps in CD cases, my tools and some ink pads and then in the white containers I have more stamps and ink pads.

At Target this summer I picked up card holders for teachers in the $1 spot. I bought two of them and place my made cards in them. There is a bit of method to my madness. I do have them organized so that I can easily grab one when I need them.

Finally, this is not part of my stamping area, but I just got this new lamp while I was shopping for supplies to organize my area. I love this Tiffany style lamp.
I promise I will add more cards soon.

Amy’s Friday sketch #43

I absolutely love Amy’s sketches. Here is Friday’s sketch. I had some difficulty with this. I knew I wanted to use my new Sugared Basic Grey paper. I cut the heart out with my Cricut George cartridge. I used similar paper and shapes for the Verve sketch challenge this week as you saw earlier. That card actually came out of a mess up from this card. The sentiment is G Studio. I am making all of these Valentine’s Day cards with no Valentine. Oh well!
Hope you enjoy!

TECC49

Here is my card for Taylor’s sketch this week. I used Pink Baby Safe ink for the inside circles that were stamped with G Studio stamps. The paper DCWV. I used CM circle punch for the circles. I like the colors, but I am afraid it is too busy. Let me know what you think.

Viva la Verve

There is a new sketch in town. Check out the Verve sketch on Friday’s at Splitcoast. Here is the card I made for it.
I am really happy with how the card turned out. I used Basic Grey’s Sugared 6×6 pad. The brads are also from Basic Grey and part of the same set. I love the flamingo and giraffe paper, but I was trying not to hid the very few giraffes that are on the paper. I cut the heart out with my Cricut using the George cartridge at 2.5 inches. The sentiment is a G Studio $1 stamp.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone out there (all 2 of my readers :) ) I have to say that I hope today is not a preview of what I have to look forward to the rest of the year. I am extremely tired and ache all over. I got into a fight with my mom because of my grumpiness. I just don’t feel good today. Like I said, this better not be a preview of what is to come in 2009, because I just don’t think I can do it.

I did want to share this with you. It is this really awesome video this guy shot of the woods throughtout the year, but he time lapses it so that the whole year takes 40 seconds to view. It is amazing what nature can do in a year. Check it out.

Well I should probably get ready and take care of somethings I must do today. Have great day!

I can party-hardy on NYE!

I wanted a relaxing NYE. It can get dangerous and I don’t want to be a part of that. I decided to stay at home and participate in the SCS NYE Party. Here are a couple of the cards I have made for the challenges.

SCSNYE07- Black Tie Affair

SCSNYE08 and HCE12

SCSNYE09- Ring in the New…times twoSCENYE10- For a Friend
I might still do a the last challenge and complete some of the beginning ones that were posted when I was still at work. The dets are on splitcoast in my gallery. I would write more, but I am getting very tired. I can’t believe how many cards I have made in the last couple of days. It is amazing what you can do without distractions. Enjoy and Happy New Year!

BSC61

Here is my bella card for BSC61

I used Billboardabella. I colored it in with my Bics and the paper is DCWV and My Mind’s Eye. I am really happy with how it turned out, expect the little black dot on it. I know, you probably can’t see it or wouldn’t have seen it if I hadn’t pointed it out, but it bothers me. I accidently dropped the sentiment stamp on it, because I realized once it was all together that there was nothing in the Billboard.
